Stone District[]
The sturdy district... The Stone district is an ancient district that has been powerful for ages. Duke Stone kept a relationship with Duchess Clay for years until she passed away. The other districts have relied on Stone masons since the beginning of Filth. The Pig Palace, The Tower of Weaves and even the Pleasure Palace were built by artisans from the Stone District. Although strong and reliable, the Stone district is not perfect. A generation earlier, when Ivory District pail-girls had begun to go missing, the Watch had investigated and concluded that Edly Stone from the neighboring District had a taste for them. When Duchess Stone refused to turn over Edly—her second eldest son—the Filthy Watch laid siege to the district. Eventually, the starving people of the Stone district themselves captured “Evil Edly” and threw him from their own wall.
